LETTERS: Approval will help Gaylord Specialty Healthcare upgrade system

A wise investment

Editor:

Recently, the State Bond Commission, led by Governor Lamont, approved $4.5 million in state bond funds for the replacement of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare’s 18-year-old electronic medical records system. The updated system will allow for streamlined communications with referring hospitals and physicians and will result in an expedited admissions process for patients in need of Gaylord’s complex medical and rehabilitative expertise.

The Gaylord team is deeply grateful to Representative Mary Mushinsky, Speaker of the House Matthew Ritter and Representative Liz Linehan for their tireless advocacy and support for this project, and to Governor Ned Lamont for his leadership.

The effects of this thoughtful investment in Gaylord will be felt state-wide and will help us provide seamless delivery of care to our patients — and their families — when they need it most.

Sonja LaBarbera, president and CEO, Gaylord Specialty Healthcare
