Re-elect Rob Sampson

Editor:

I am writing to endorse Senator Rob Sampson to be re-elected as Senator for the 16th Senate District.

Rob has an exemplary record of fighting for his District. He played a leadership role in 2018 in turning back Governor Malloy's cuts to municipal funding of towns in our District ($5M alone in Southington). And he has ensured proposed tolls did not pass, and rallied opposition against the Police Accountability Act.

As a legislator, he has sponsored numerous bills to better our lives in healthcare, public safety, and for vulnerable communities such as seniors and young children.

We need Len Suzio

Editor:

As state senator, Len Suzio discovered faulty Eversource billing by 3rd party suppliers, costing tax payers millions. When confronting  Eversource, they blamed the 3rd party supplier,  even though the charge appeared on Eversource bill.

Len led the fight to force PURA to take action and make Eversource accept responsibility. Len also warned of problems that would occur with the passage of SB9 in 2018. The bill passed and in 2020 a huge rate increase was delivered,

Where is our current Senator — crickets.  We need Len Suzio to bring back accountability and restructure a failed oversight process. Vote for Len Suzio.

Lou Arata for state rep.

Editor:

Cathy Abercrombie doesn’t show much diversity of thought and isn’t looking out for you and your family. In 2019, she voted 99% with her Democrat majority. Do you want to be giving them more of your money in higher taxes for another two more years? Has she ever voted to lower your tax bill? I don’t think so. Lou Arata will work for you! Lou Arata stands with our men and women in Blue and won’t vote to defund the police. Cathy Abercrombie voted FOR the Police Accountability Act HB 6004!  Vote for Lou Arata for state representative.

Re-elect Rob Sampson

Editor:

I enthusiastically support Rob Sampson for State Senate in Southington. The cost of living in this state is too high, resulting in many families and businesses leaving and those of us that wish to stay are bearing a greater burden. The Democrats have failed to restrain their spending and continue to raise taxes and fees, and remain silent while our freedoms are infringed. Senator Sampson has been a fearless, principled voice for our community. We must elect legislators, that like Senator Sampson, understand the necessity of government restraint. We need his voice in Hartford more than ever. Re-elect Rob Sampson.

Scott Matney, Southington
