MERIDEN — The Boys and Girls Club of Meriden will hold its 28th Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 6 at Hunter Golf Club.
The outing, sponsored by Westaff and by the Boys and Girls Club of Meriden's Alumni Association, starts at 9 a.m.
Proceeds benefit the 1,600 youth served by the Boys and Girls Club. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

MERIDEN — The 22nd annual Meriden Lions Club Golf Classic is on the calendar for Thursday, Sept. 13th at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington.
The 18-hole scramble tournament includes hole-in-one, longest drive and, closest-to-the-pin contests and a new “Million Dollar Shootout.”
Lunch will be served on the course. A banquet follows at the Aqua Turf in Southington.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Shotgun start is at 11 a.m.

SOUTHINGTON — The Southington Sports Hall of Fame will hold its ninth annual induction ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Aqua Turf Club.
The Hall is inducting coach John Bores and athletes Heather Brousseau, Kristine Mach, Lauren Lattanzio, Stacey Blumer, Mark LaRosa, Kevin Meier and Hank Papale.
Southington’s state championship baseball and softball teams from the spring of 1999 are also being inducted.
