The CIAC golf championships loom next week. First, though, there were considerable loose ends to tie up on local greens on Thursday.
Such as the Connecticut Technical Conference championship.
Such as the Central Connecticut Conference spring tournament.
And such as Lyman Hall-Sheehan II.
The Trojans and Titans never finished when they met for their second rivalry match on May 17 at The Farms Country Club. The teams were on the final hole when they had to give way to a Farms league match.
The rivals returned on Thursday and host Sheehan completed a 7-stroke victory.
Also on Thursday, Wilcox Tech went head to head with Norwich Tech for the CTC crown. The Wildcats and Warriors played 18 at Tallwood Country Club in Hebron, with Norwich Tech taking the title with room to spare.
Closer to home, at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain, Platt and Maloney competed in the CCC Championship. City champ Dylan Miller of Maloney made the All-Tournament Team, shooting a 6-over-par 77 to place tied for seventh.
Here are more details.
