MERIDEN — City police are investigating after a dead body was found in a hotel room at the Meriden Inn, 1102 East Main St. Sunday.
Police said they responded to a call at 5:29 p.m. for an unresponsive male in his mid-40s and arrived to discover he was dead. The cause of death was unknown Sunday evening, but city police and the major crimes unit were investigating.
Lt. Salvatore J. Nesci said Sunday that it was “too soon to determine” if any foul play was involved, adding that the medical examiner had been called in.
Nesci couldn’t add any information about anything potentially found at the scene, but did say that there was “no danger to the public.”
